Position: Senior Civil/Structural Designer
The Senior Structural Designer is accountable for producing and maintaining structural design deliverables (including, but not limited to, drawings, BOM’s, 3D models & sketches) in accordance with industry standards, codes and client specifications, and within the timescale and budget set out by the Lead Civil/Structural Engineer.
The Designer is expected to perform the following activities:

Produce structural deliverables in accordance with industry standards, codes and client specifications.

Scope, investigate, define and prepare project plans for designs and investigations

Prepare comprehensive consultant briefs for designs and investigations

Check structural deliverables in accordance with industry standards, codes and client specifications.

Review all design documentation prepared and ensure that it is correct to a high degree of accuracy, suitable for construction and in accordance with all relevant standards and legislation.

Prepare & check material take-offs and bill of materials.
-
Undertake surveys and create survey reports.

Develop plot plans and general arrangement drawings

Design pipe supports and hangers
-
Prepare civil design plans, specifications and estimates for a range of civil design projects.

Monitor plans to ensure objectives are being satisfied and provide timely advice on any anticipated delays affecting project commitments.

Undertake technical investigations and prepare reports on a range of civil design projects.

Investigate, document and prepare applications for statutory approvals.

Undertake inspections of construction works to confirm compliance with design documentation.

Undertake post construction reviews and recommend areas of improvement.

Provide technical input during detailed engineering of projects as requested.

Establish good working relationships and communication with engineering discipline leads, construction management, construction superintendents, and clients

Job requires traveling to job site for field engineering and detail design investigations
Required Qualifications:

15-Years’ experience in the Oil & Gas/Petrochemical industry
-
Ability to demonstrate previous experience in the use of AutoCAD 2D and 3D software
-
Must have good working knowledge of industry codes and standard
